About Matt

Matt Comer, 26, hails from Winston-Salem, N.C., and works as a communications manager; civic, advocacy and community journalist; and LGBT/progressive activist.

He currently lives and works in Charlotte where he serves as the editor of QNotes, the Charlotte-based LGBT community newspaper of North Carolina. He is the owner & editor of InterstateQ.com and has been active in LGBT and progressive advocacy work since his teens. In addition to his work at Campus Pride and civic journalism and blogging, Matt also attends school at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he is continuing his studies in American history and politics.
